Walter Smith Studio is 5th generation and was created on the legacy of Walter Smith Menswear, which supported the farming communities of central California for over 50 years from the 1930s to the 1980s. With an initial investment from Levi Strauss, Walter Smith was the largest family-owned menswear store and distributor of 501 jeans west of the Mississippi River. Three stores featured an array of departments with everything from footwear to suiting.
